At Highlands, pupils consolidate the skills and techniques they need for independent learning and the development of their abilities. In Secondary, we support and guide each pupil in getting to know themselves and understanding their great potential.
From the age of 12, the human brain is ready for abstract thought. Every concept learned in class is used to strengthen pupils’ reasoning and to challenge them to analyse, experiment and practise problem-solving. We give them the chance to do so both inside and outside the classroom:
Our entire team of trainers will help you develop the habits, skills and abilities necessary to establish a solid academic foundation that will prepare you for the transition to high school.
We combine the two approaches, taking the best of each: we respond better to the specific needs and characteristics of each boy and girl, with separate classes in Primary and Secondary (ESO), co-educational teaching in Early Years and Sixth Form (Bachillerato), and natural everyday interaction across the school’s facilities and activities.
It allows each student to be better guided according to their developmental stage, needs, abilities, etc., thereby improving their personal development and academic performance.
It fosters a climate of equality, respect and freedom that encourages participation and decision-making.
